First Nations say #notyourstereotype

Canada’s indigenous challenge negative stereotypes.

A Canadian First Nations student is challenging her community to combat negative stereotypes after members of the University of Regina cheerleading team posted “cowboys and Indians” photos online. Many are responding to the challenge by using hashtag #notyourstereotype to show the world what being indigenous looks like.
