Has Egypt’s Sisi delivered on any of his promises?
Egyptian president has been in office for one year after a controversial rise to power. Is Egypt better under his rule?
Abdel Fattah El-Sisi overthrew the first democratically elected president in Egypt’s history. He soon portrayed himself as the man who would save the country as it was facing what many of his supporters said it was a threat from the Muslim Brotherhood.
That propelled him to office after a controversial vote. Once in office, Sisi promised he would restore security and improve the lives of millions of Egyptians.
