Can the Pakistani opposition alliance unseat PM Imran Khan?

Pakistan Democratic Movement called on supporters to gather outside the election commission amid allegations that Khan fraudulently financed his campaign.

An alliance of opposition parties in Pakistan held its first rally of the year against the government, demanding Prime Minister Imran Khan step down.

The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) called on supporters to gather outside the Election Commission of Pakistan amid allegations that Khan fraudulently financed his campaign.

They allege Khan accepted illegal funds from abroad during the 2013 elections.

Last week, Khan’s party admitted raising campaign funds through foreign accounts, but blamed illegalities on its agents in the United States without specifying who they were.

PDM leaders say Khan committed a “national crime” and should be punished.

So, will he step down?
