Is it too late to act on climate change?

In its latest report, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, IPCC, has warned that the planet is under increasing climatic disruption. The IPCC says the impact will only worsen if nations worldwide do not deal properly and urgently with climate change.

The report also says Earth is facing extreme weather conditions, from rising sea levels to melting ice. The UN panel insists only a global effort to cut emissions with a short period of time, will prevent temperatures from crossing a level that scientists say could lead to more dangerous climate disruptions.

The findings of the report are seen as a last chance for policy makers to reach a legally binding deal on climate change, before a landmark summit next year in Paris.

So, is it too late to reverse the effects of climate change?
