India-Pakistan railway: Samjhauta Express train service restored

A friendship train that almost derailed because of recent tensions between India and Pakistan is back on track.

The Samjhauta Express also called the friendship train between India and Pakistan has resumed its service.

It had stopped running due to recent violence over the Kashmir dispute between the two countries.

It is the only railway linking the two countries, making it one of the few cheap travel options for people on both sides to visit each other.

Al Jazeera’s Kamal Hyder reports from Lahore Railway Station.
