Baghdad hosts a summit aimed at easing longstanding tensions between Iraq’s neighbours.
Iraq has been holding a regional summit, aimed at promoting peace and reconciliation in the Middle East.
It is hoped the talks will encourage its neighbours to talk to each other, instead of settling scores on its territory.

The meeting comes months after regional rivals Iran and Saudi Arabia resumed contact, but failed to reach a breakthrough.
Since 2003, Iraq has been a battleground for the United States, and especially for Iran, after the toppling of former President Saddam Hussein.
It is hoped that what was not achieved through war, could be achieved through negotiation.
Yet the US was notably absent.
So can Iraq’s neighbours reach common ground?
