Across Geneva, Switzerland, tens of thousands of undocumented Filipino workers cook meals, clean homes and care for wealthy families.

But their own accommodation is a daily struggle.

At the mercy of so-called “slumlords”, they are forced to pay exorbitant rates in a sordid trade in which apartments are rented out by the room. Six people are often crammed in a small one-bedroom flat.
