UK begins one-year countdown to Brexit

While precise nature of UK's departure is still undecided, Prime Minister Theresa May says she is committed to honouring 2016 vote to break away from EU.

    Exactly a year from today, the United Kingdom is due to leave the European Union.

    While the precise nature of its departure is still undecided, Prime Minister Theresa May says she is committed to honouring the 2016 vote to break away.

    But pro-European groups, often referred to as "remainers", are refusing to give up hope of staying in the EU.
