Zionist ‘safety patrols’ on campus have little concern for Jewish safety
Last academic year saw university students across North American campuses form Gaza solidarity encampments to protest Israel’s ongoing genocide of Palestinians and their universities’ financial complicity in the carnage.
The sit-ins received widespread media coverage and helped carry Israel’s crimes against Palestinians to the top of the Western news agenda.
Although these campus protests were overwhelmingly peaceful and included many anti-Zionist Jewish students and faculty, Israel’s supporters in media, politics and academia itself responded to the demonstrations by accusing protesters of peddling anti-Semitism and intimidating Jewish students.

‘Netanyahu is no longer interested in the 1701 UN Security Council Resolution’
Military analyst Elijah Magnier says the comments by the UNIFIL spokesperson, who stated that the role of the peacekeeping force is more important than ever, are significant.
UNIFIL represents 50 nations and 15 UN Security Council members.
However, Magnier said the US “does not disagree with the Israeli invasion of Lebanon” but is asking UNIFIL to remain despite Netanyahu being “no longer interested in the 1701 United Nations Security Council Resolution”.
He said the strike on the Christian village of Aitou, where internally displaced people had been sheltering, killing 21 people was a similar tactic used in Gaza.

‘It’s a horror show’: Doctor describes aftermath of Gaza hospital attack
Dr Mohammed Tahir, a volunteer surgeon, is dealing with the carnage after Israel’s attack on Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza.
Tahir said he and his overwhelmed team were already dealing with another mass casualty incident – the Israeli shelling of a school sheltering displaced Palestinians in Nuseirat – when victims from the hospital attack came streaming in.
“We were inundated. We had women, men, children as young as one year of age dying in front of our eyes,” Tahir told Al Jazeera from outside the hospital.
“I have spoken to countless individuals who witnessed some of the horrors. People are traumatised. I think it’s fair to say that people have really got to the point now where they feel there is no hope – no one is coming to help them, no one is coming to save them.”
Tahir said they are dealing with patients with burns on 60 to 80 percent of their bodies – many who won’t survive.
“Patients with significant high percentage burns, unfortunately, their fate is sealed. They won’t even make it to the ICU. They will die.”
“It’s a horror show here. Honestly, sometimes I feel like this is not real life – that this can go on and this degree of suffering is allowed to happen in this world.”

Funeral service held in Iraq for Iranian general killed by Israeli strike in Beirut
The funeral procession for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) General Abbas Nilforoushan, who was killed in an Israeli air strike alongside Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, has begun in Iraq, according to the AFP news agency.
Nilforoushan, a top commander in the IRGC foreign operations arm, was killed on September 27 by an Israeli strike in southern Beirut.
The IRGC said on Friday that Nilforoushan’s body had been recovered from the site of the strike.
His body was taken from Beirut to the Iraqi city of Karbala where his funeral prayers were held before a huge crowd.
The funeral cortege then moved on to the nearby Al-Abbas shrine before leaving for the city of Najaf.
Nilforoushan’s body is due to be sent to the Iranian city of Mashhad, according to the Iranian Sepah news agency.

UK tribunal rules anti-Zionist academic was unfairly dismissed
An employment tribunal in the UK has published its judgement on why a professor who the University of Bristol dismissed over allegations of making anti-Semitic remarks was unfairly discriminated against.
Professor David Miller, who lectured on political sociology, had told the panel he thought Zionism was “inherently racist, imperialist and colonial”.
The panel found his views “worthy of respect in a democratic society”.
Employment judge Rohan Pirani said that although many would “vehemently and cogently disagree” with Miller’s view of politics and history, “others have the same or similar beliefs”.
He said that Miller’s opposition to Zionism “is not opposition to the idea of Jewish self-determination or of a preponderantly Jewish state existing in the world, but rather, as he defines it, to the exclusive realisation of Jewish rights to self-determination within a land that is home to a very substantial non-Jewish population”.

UN peacekeepers to ‘stay in all positions’ in Lebanon
UN peacekeepers will stay in all positions in Lebanon despite Israeli calls for them to move amid intensifying fighting between Israel and Hezbollah and five blue helmets suffering injuries, the UN peacekeeping chief said.
“The decision was made that UNIFIL would currently stay in all its positions in spite of the calls that were made by the [Israeli army] to vacate the positions that are in the vicinity of the Blue Line,” said UN peacekeeping chief Jean-Pierre Lacroix.
“I want to emphasise that this decision still remains.”
Five peacekeepers were injured in a series of incidents last week, with the latest seeing the UN force accuse Israeli troops of breaking through a gate and entering one of their positions.
Earlier today, Netanyahu again called for the peacekeepers in southern Lebanon to move from certain areas close to his country’s border with Lebanon.

It is the first match Israel has played outside Hungary this year.
The Belgian football federation refused to host Israel last month in the same competition, citing security reasons. Last year, Israel’s football team played in Kosovo and Andorra.

These are some of the points he made in the interview:
