Trump-Russia probe: Lawyer pleads guilty to lying to FBI

Alex van der Zwaan, son-in-law of a Ukrainian-Russian oligarch, has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his conversations with an ex-Trump campaign official.

A lawyer who allegedly worked with an aide to US President Donald Trump has pleaded guilty to lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Alex van der Zwaan is the son-in-law of a Ukrainian-Russian oligarch and the latest focus in the FBI‘s investigation into how Russia meddled in the 2016 US election.
