Whether covering protests in Palestine, corruption in Malta or drug cartels in Mexico, journalists face the bullets and bombs of the powerful whose crimes they often seek to expose.
Friday is the UN’s International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists, highlighting the fact that in 9 of ten cases, the killing of journalists goes unpunished.
