Brazil defends beef industry after US ban

Brazil‘s agriculture ministry has accused the US government of acting over-enthusiastically after it banned imports of Brazilian beef on Friday.

The United States cited safety concerns, but the Brazilian government said it has taken all necessary measures to clean up its meat industry.
