France’s Macron begins first state visit with Trump

French President Emmanuel Macron has begun his three-day state visit to Washington, which is likely to be dominated by differences with the United States over trade and the nuclear accord with Iran.

France’s President Emmanuel Macron has arrived in Washington for his first state visit to the US.

He hopes to persuade his host, US President Donald Trump, to stick with the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran.
