Protests in Bolivia against plans for Tipnis rainforest highway

Bolivia’s indigenous people are protesting against plans for the construction of a highway which would cut through Tipnis National Park.

Residents are concerned about the effect the project would have on the region and the mostly indigenous residents that live in the area.
