Jesse – “The Body” – Ventura is best known for his years as a wrestler in the WWF and then later as the governor of the US state of Minnesota.
“I love to describe professional wrestling as ballet with violence,” he says.
His diverse career extends beyond the wrestling and political rings into entertainment – including radio and acting roles both in film and television, where he hosts a series to uncover American conspiracy theories.
His straight-talking and honest approach to the American political system often creates controversy; however, his curiosity and values stem deeply in his family life.
Born as James George Janos to parents both veterans from World War II, Jesse Ventura was compelled as a teenager to enlist in the Navy and rose through the ranks to become a Navy SEAL, where he served for six years. The lessons from his service continue to guide him through life today.
