China and Europe: Who benefits?
The Chinese premier is on a tour of Europe, delivering the message ‘Trust China’.
‘Trust China’ – that is the message Wen Jiabao, the Chinese premier, wants to send to Europe. He is on a five-day tour of the continent, visiting Britain, Germany and Hungary.
The Chinese leader is pledging his country’s support for the Eurozone, which is stuck in a deepening debt crisis, and promising to open up China’s markets to British products.
So why is Europe welcoming China’s support now and who needs who the most?
