Ukraine warns of potential Russian aggression

President Poroshenko’s warning comes following a clash between Ukrainian and Russian forces in the Sea of Azov.

A 30-day period of martial law has taken effect in 10 of Ukraine’s 27 regions on Wednesday, with President Petro Poroshenko saying it aims to prevent an all-out Russian invasion.

The measure comes a day after a clash between Ukrainian and Russian forces in the Sea of Azov.

Poroshenko has issued a stark warning about Russia, accusing it of deploying more tanks on the border between the two countries; he says Ukraine is now doing more to defend itself against the threat of a conflict.
