Prominent Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammed Mahdi Akef dies

The former Muslim Brotherhood general guide, Mohammed Mahdi Akef, has died. His daughter made the announcement on Facebook. Akef was arrested four years ago, a day after former Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi was ousted from power.
