Russia’s soft power: Moscow seeks to influence Afghans

From Russia with love. Moscow uses soft power to once again get a foothold in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan is marking the anniversary of the overthrow of the pro-Soviet government in 1992.

After Soviet occupation in the 1980s, the day signifies the end of Russian influence in Afghanistan.

But 30 years on, Russia is returning, looking to again play a role in the country’s future.
