Lebanon protests: Crisis affecting fuel and medicine imports

Lebanon’s local currency has dropped for the first time in more than 20 years.

The World Bank is urging Lebanon to form a new cabinet soon. It has called the risks to the country’s stability deeply concerning.

Protests are continuing for the 23rd day, as demonstrators call for major changes to the political system.

As Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr explains, the crisis is not only making the economy worse but also threatening the imports of fuel and medicines.
