Haitian Hopes
The island of Haiti is not a place you might associate with the beautiful game. So it might surprise you to learn that they qualified for the football world cup in the 1970’s.
And as Al Jazeera’s Brendan Connor reports, Haiti’s youth are now hopeful of emulating those glory days.

Despite having some of the best conditions in the world, the sport of surfing is relatively new in the idyllic Indonesian island of Bali.
It was only really introduced by Australians in the 1970s, and ever since, thousands flock there each year.
Yet the surfing culture has not translated into competitive success for Balinese surfers, although hope could be on the horizon.
