Ecuador hospitals under pressure, on verge of collapse

In the past month, the city has allowed some businesses to reopen after a lockdown, which is partly why new coronavirus cases increased.

    Health workers in Ecuador's capital say hospitals are on the verge of collapse, because of the number of new coronavirus cases.

    More than 59,000 people are infected and at least 4,600 have died.
