South Korea dust crisis: Budget rise aims to tackle pollution

Government points to longer-term solutions, such as increasing number of electric and hydrogen cars to a third of all vehicles in the next 10 years.

South Korea‘s government has announced a record rise in its budget for the coming year, partly to tackle the growing problem of air pollution.

The country is preparing for the seasonal build-up of fine dust particles, which pose a health hazard.
