Brexit: Labour may support second referendum

The party is preparing to field candidates for European elections in which it did not think it would participate.

After three failed attempts, Theresa May is looking beyond her own party for support. Negotiations to woo opposition Labour MPs are ongoing to try to strike a deal before the new end of October deadline.

But the Labour Party has agreed to support a new referendum on Brexit if it cannot get the concessions that it wants from May’s government or a general election.
