US synagogue shooter inspired by Christchurch mosque attacks

California synagogue shooting suspect posted anti-Jewish 'open letter' online.

    The suspect in Saturday's shooting at Chabad synagogue in Poway, California has been charged with murder.

    The 19-year-old youth, John T Earnest, is also being investigated for an arson attack on a mosque last month.

    According to police, the suspect had posted an anti-Jewish diatribe online detailing his desire to kill Jews and claimed to have been motivated by the deadly attack on two mosques in New Zealand last month.
