Thailand has the greatest wealth gap in the world: Report

One percent of the population controls more than two-thirds of Thailand’s wealth.

The widening global wealth gap has sparked social unrest in many parts of the world.

It’s raising particular concern in Thailand – after one survey named the country as having the biggest disparity. The country’s military government quickly responded that the report was limited and it did not believe the country was actually the most unequal in the world, but analysts worry that signs of dispairty-based social unrest are already beginning to manifest.
