Landmines kill Bangladeshis near Myanmar, crisis escalates

Reports emerged last week that Myanmar's army has been planting land mines targeting Rohingya fleeing across the border to Bangladesh. Since then, several explosions have been reported.

    Reports emerged last week that Myanmar's army has been planting land mines targeting Rohingya fleeing across the border to Bangladesh.

    Since then, several explosions have been reported.

    Among those dead and injured are a number of Bangladeshi citizens who live at the very edge of the border.

    Al Jazeera's Maher Sattar reports from Tombru, southeast Bangladesh.
