Hot air, laden with moisture, is making life difficult in northeastern parts of the USA.

The National Weather Service is urging people to lookout for signs of heat-related illnesses, including fatigue, sunstroke, muscle cramps and heat exhaustion.

The hot, humid weather is expected to get worse over the next few days, before thunderstorms bring some relief on Friday and Saturday.

However, as well as bringing some cooler conditions, the thunderstorm may also turn severe, and bring large hail and damaging winds.
