According to a new GAO report, over the past decade alone, climate change has cost the US government $350bn, a figure the Office expects to rise dramatically in coming years. The report has dire expectations for the environmental challenges ahead.
However, the current US president has described global warming as a “hoax”, and his head of the Environmental Protection Agency is a climate change sceptic.
