Sri Lanka fights to stop diseases from spreading in flood crisis

Sri Lanka is appealing for volunteers to help with a massive recovery operation after its worst flooding in 14 years. At least 194 people have been killed in the disaster and hundreds of thousands of others have been left displaced.

The public are being asked to help clean drinking wells contaminated by the monsoon floods, as doctors work to prevent diseases such as cholera from spreading.
