Thousands of pro-reform demonstrators assembled at Sanaa’s ‘Change Square’ on Friday, calling for president Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down.
There were also rallies in support for the president, state TV showed many in the crowd carried portraits of the president.
The latest protests have been described as the biggest on both sides, and both believe they will decide Yemen’s future.
