China adamant about enforcing Hong Kong security law

As international criticism grows over new measures threatening Hong Kong’s autonomy, Beijing warns others to stay out of its affairs.

China is refusing to back away from enforcing its strict new security law on Hong Kong, despite mounting pressure from countries like the United States and the United Kingdom.

Several people were arrested under the law on Wednesday, with many residents worried it is the end of Hong Kong’s autonomy as they know it.

But as international criticism grows, Beijing is warning others to stay out of its affairs.
