Throwaway fashion: Efforts being made to change attitudes

Globally the UN says the industry is responsible for more carbon emissions than aviation and maritime shipping combined.

Wear it once and throw it away – cheap clothes mean many shoppers are buying into the disposable fashion culture.

The trend is also raising concerns about the conditions of factory workers and the environmental impact the industry has.

In Britain, efforts are being made to try to change attitudes.
