Argentina abortion laws: Legal abortions obstructed
As activists in Argentina again push to decriminalise abortion. Al Jazeera looks at the difficulties and risks faced by the women who choose to go ahead with the procedure.
Women’s rights groups say they will present a new project this month to decriminalise abortion in Argentina, a country where interrupting a pregnancy is now only legal in cases of rape, or if a mother’s life is at risk.
But even when the law permits an abortion, women still face all sorts of difficulties.
Al Jazeera’s Terasa Bo reports from the province of Tucuman.
