Libya: Tunisia ‘disarms’ French nationals trying to cross border

France supports the unrecognised government in Tripoli but also maintained ties with the other government led by Haftar.

A group of people carrying weapons and French diplomatic passports have been stopped by Tunisia while attempting to cross from Libya.

The incident at the Ras Jedir crossing on Libya’s western border is raising more questions about the involvement of foreign countries in the conflict.
