Lebanon protests: Large crowds continue to gather in Tripoli

Protesters in Tripoli say government has exploited sectarian divide and worsened country’s debt and economy.

Tripoli has traditionally been a support base for Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saad Hariri.

But the Sunni majority city has been neglected, and has some of the poorest areas in the country.

That is continuing to draw protesters from different sectarian sectors to come out against the government’s handling of the economy.
