US school teachers turn to digital world as COVID-19 bites

Some in New York are trying to teach online as 80 percent of school-age children worldwide are out of class due to coronavirus, according to UN.

Eighty percent of the world’s school-age children are out of class because of the coronavirus, according to the United Nations.

In the United States, nearly every state has closed all or some of their schools. Some will not reopen until the autumn semester.
