Israelis are voting in their second general election in less than six months.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is hoping for a fifth term.

He failed to achieve a majority or form a coalition in April and called an unprecedented rerun.

Netanyahu is facing corruption allegations but is doing everything in his power to win the election and avoid a criminal trial.

Al Jazeera's Bernard Smith reports from occupied East Jerusalem.
