Afghan independence: Artists mark 100-year anniversary

Afghanistan’s art scene has flourished since the fall of the Taliban in 2001.

    Afghanistan is marking 100 years since it gained independence from the British empire.

    The years since have been dotted with long spells of turbulence and a group of Afghan artists is trying to document that history and critique its progress since then.
