Ethiopia suffers from lack of doctors for physical therapy

For an estimated 105 million people in the country, there are only 17 doctors for physical therapy.

Physical therapy or physiotherapy is considered a luxury in Ethiopia. There are very few therapists available to treat tens of millions of people. And even then, not all of them are qualified.

Al Jazeera’s Leah Harding met the first class of physical therapists trying to make a difference in the report from Addis Ababa.
