Boris Johnson under pressure in UK prime minister race

Protesters opposed to Heathrow expansion are wondering whether Johnson remains committed to supporting them, another in a series of questions plaguing the Conservative candidate.

Boris Johnson is avoiding another leadership debate and he has yet to comment on an alleged altercation with his girlfriend last week.

If Johnson becomes prime minister of the United Kingdom, some Conservative Party members are warning he could lose a confidence vote.

And in his own constituency, the opposition has told Al Jazeera it believes it could even unseat him in a national election.
