Hamilton comes home to Puerto Rico

The hit Broadway musical, Hamilton, is debuting in Puerto Rico, the island that was home to the titular star, as well as the grandparents of its Tony award-winning composer, Lin-Manuel Miranda.

After 262 years, one of the US’s founding fathers has come home to the Caribbean.

The Broadway musical, Hamilton, has premiered in Puerto Rico.

The musical’s composer, Lin-Manuel Miranda, spent parts of his youth with his relatives living on the island, as well, and he is raising more questions about President Donald Trump‘s spending priorities and his $5bn border wall.
