Typhoon Mangkhut: Philippines assessing super storm’s impact

At least 53 people are dead in the Philippines after the typhoon wrecks homes and cuts off many towns.

Before arriving in southern China, Typhoon Mangkhut has left a trail of destruction across the northern Philippines.

At least 53 people have been killed and authorities are expecting the death toll to rise.

Others are still missing, including 30 gold miners are believed to trapped under a landslide in Cagayan province.
