Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood banned from politics

The largest group that has represented political Sunni Islam in Egypt for the last 90 years is banned from politics, after being labelled a “terrorist” organization - a charge the group firmly denies.

    It is not the first time that the Muslim Brotherhood has been persecuted by the state.
