Nine provinces in Southern Thailand are flooded after torrential monsoon rains. The flooding has also affected parts of northern Malaysia and more wet weather is forecast in the coming days.

Flooding in Southern Thailand occurs frequently, but there is a growing sense of frustration that the government is not putting in enough effort to curb the impact of the natural disasters there.
