The Houston Astros have won their first World Series championship in the team's 55-year history. The baseball glory comes as a boost to morale for the Texan city still recovering from the weeks of flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey.

    The baseball glory comes as a boost to the morale of the Texan city, which is still recovering from weeks of flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey.

    More than 100 thousand homes in Houston were damaged or destroyed by the storm and the Astros' successful season has come as welcome distraction.
