UN Peacekeepers have lowered their flag in Haiti 13 years after entering the country.

They have helped it through political crisis and natural disasters.

The official peacekeeping mission will end later this month and will be replaced by a smaller force that will focus on strengthening the judicial system.

Al Jazeera's Daniel Schweimler reports from Port-au-Prince.
