In recent protests, Filipino union workers have taken to the streets to demand more protection from the state.
Some claim that they have been harassed and threatened by President Benigno Aquino’s government when trying to demand more labour rights and a raise in minimum wage.
Al Jazeera’s Marga Ortigas reports from Manila.
