New leader after Tunisia uprising
Speaker of parliament sworn in as interim president, has 60 days to hold presidential elections.

Fouad Mebazaa, the speaker of the Tunisian parliament, has been sworn as the country’s new interim president.
He now has 60 days to organise new presidential elections under the Tunisian constitution.
Meanwhile, jail breaks and riots have been reported at several Tunisian prisons, and citizens say they are afraid that more violence will follow.
