Inuit struggling with food costs in Canada
Isolated, previously nomadic communities are struggling with some of the most expensive food prices in the country.

James Anaya, the United Nations special rapporteur on indigenous peoples’ rights, is making a long-awaited visit to Canada this week to look into challenges facing that country’s First Nations and the Inuit people of the Arctic.
Last year, another UN envoy investigating food issues was critical of the state of nutrition and food security in the far north.
